Kitsilano Pool – Vancouver, BC

 

Kitsilano Pool is Vancouver's only saltwater swimming pool and the longest saltwater pool in North America. Situated on the water in the heart of Kitsilano. The Kits Pool stretches out along the water, an extension of Kitsilano Beach. The outdoor summer pool is located near the beach, cafés, and neighbourhood of Kitsilano. The pool has a shallow section for families and small children, a middle section of roped-off lanes for lap swimmers, and a deep end for teen/adult swimmers. After months of renovations and millions of dollars in repair, the pool is now open until mid-September. 

Sunnyside & Gus Ryder Pool – Toronto, ON

 

Toronto’s largest public outdoor swimming pool, located at Lake Shore Boulevard West and Parkside Drive, offers scenic views of Lake Ontario and is in the heat of Sunnyside beach. This outdoor swimming pool has a large kiddie section with steps and a handrail to gradually walk in and an equally large mid-depth and deep end area. There are two designated swim lanes that are open during all swim hours. Open mid-June to early September. Bonus: Hours are usually extended to around 11 p.m. during heat waves.

Parc Aquatique Jean-Drapeau – Montreal, QC

 

Parc Jean-Drapeau has one of the finest outdoor Aquatic Complexes in Canada! The Aquatic Complex, which was renovated in 2005, has three pools: an international calibre competition pool, a diving pool and a gradual-slope recreational pool with a cushioned rubber mat designed for young children's comfort and safety. A new feature this year will allow people of all ages to enjoy the new shade areas set up around the pools.

Second Beach Pool – Vancouver, BC

 

Second Beach Pool is a heated, outdoor pool located near the beach, trails, and forest of Stanley Park. The pool has a sloped entry, gradual depths for families, a waterslide for kids and separated lanes for lap swimmers. There is a small grassy area attached to the pool area for relaxing and sunbathing. Open May to September.

Thompson Hotel Rooftop Pool – Toronto, ON

 

Hotel guests and residents can lounge poolside on the Thompson Rooftop, consistently ranked one of the top rooftop pools in the world by travel insiders. Looking out at the skyline of Toronto, the rooftop pool is open daily from 7AM to 7PM, weather permitting.
